These may be obtained by ringing 0161 426 9500 after 12 noon.(Except Wednesdays when the phones are unavailable. Please ring after 2pm on this day) First thing in the morning is particularly busy and patients requesting results before 12 noon may be asked to call back later. The receptionist may then inform you of the result, or she may ask you to arrange an appointment with your doctor to discuss the result.
It is practice policy only to give results of medical tests to patients over 16 and to the parents of those below this age. If you have full access to your medical records online through patient access, results of tests are available to you online. If you do not have Patient Access but would like to register for this service, please bring some Photo I.D to the surgery and request a form for Online Access.
Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.
Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
